How I Got My Products Sold in 1,500+ Retail Stores on Faire Wholesale Marketplace

 

Here’s what I did to scale my own product business to being sold in over 1,500+ stores all over the world…


In the beginning stages of my creative journey as a small business entrepreneur I quickly found out that while I was really good at creating and designing products, but that my efforts fell totally flat when it comes to MARKETING & SALES 🫠

If you build it they will come, right??

Uhhh… NO. 😱 That couldn’t be more WRONG.

Through a crap ton of trial & error, experimenting, “failing”, money UN-well spent, and a rollercoaster of emotions I’ve learned 2 important HARD TRUTHS you need to work past in order to get the wholesale order sales coming in.


1️⃣ Nothing is “too saturated”

It really isn’t, and that’s just an excuse you’re telling yourself when you aren’t getting the sales you desire. I’ve been guilty of this too! But you do have to work harder these days to get IN FRONT of your customer. Where they hanging out? What are their spending habits? Now a days, lots of retailers are ordering on the Faire Wholesale Marketplace or at least looking there as a starting point. If you aren’t regularly attending trade shows then you better make sure your Faire Wholesale shop is JUICY in SEO and a handful of other key elements.

And since you’re wondering what those other elements might be, I’ll just throw em right here…

• Dreamy product photos

• Product videos

• A killer about page that isn’t a snooze fest

• Product descriptions that are clear, full of colorful wording and personality, and answer any questions a customer might have before they have the opportunity to ask em.

• Social proof - aka those 5 star reviews from bask customers.


2️⃣ Saying you’re “no good at marketing” is the worst excuse you can make in your business

If you aren’t willing to market your own products via SEO (aka Search Engine Optimization - aka the language of the Google internet world) , networking, Email, Social Media, and be CONSISTENT - or pony up the big bucks to have someone do it for you, then sorry not sorry, but you have a HOBBY - not a business. 👀

It is your actual job as an entrepreneur and small business owner to market the products you create. If it’s not your strong point then you better build up that capacity or expect to pay A LOT of money for someone to do it for you. Putting the product listings on any of these platforms is not enough to get those sales rolling in. YOU need to be the one who is constantly sending the traffic to your Faire Wholesale Shop.

Build your Wholesale Leads List, and make a consistent effort to REALLY nurture and sell to them on a regular basis. You gotta be so freakin’ proud of the products you’re selling that you’re screaming from the mountain tops about them. And you know in your heart that these products you’re promoting are SO GOOD that you don’t even feel bad about emailing or messaging people about it because you know they’re going to provide a TON of VALUE for the end customer.

Be aggressive with your marketing - in a NON creepy way of course.


My Kitty Meow Faire Wholesale Shop has brought in over half a million dollars since my time on Faire. With my hero product being $2.75 - a simple greeting card.


Don’t let people tell you Faire is too saturated or working against you.


Both those points are kinda true, but at the same time if you PLAY YOUR CARDS right, you can get those orders snowballing in. ☃️❄️
