Crib Talk - Bows Before Bros
Hello world! Ava James here, a.k.a. Kitten Meow, little Lamb Chop, Lambo, Munchkie, the list goes on...
If you haven't noticed by now, I'm pretty obsessed with my headgear over here. Big bows, small bows, floral bows, glitter bows, crazy bows, classic bows. The bigger the better! I’ll wear them forever. Or until I learn to rip them off my head. Today I'm going to share with you where Mommy gets all my fancy pieces, and how we keep them organized. Nothing worse than wanting to wear your favorite bow, but can't find it. Oh the horror!
My love for bows started when Grandma and Daddy went out shopping for girl clothes the day after I was born. They brought home a lot of adorable teeny outfits and lots of flowery headbands and bows. Since then, Mommy has been hooked! She started looking high and low for cool bows. Bows that not all the other little kids are wearing. Below are some of my favorite places to get bows (and some cute pics of me wearing them).
Posh Pelican Co.
Posh Pelican is my go to for the cutest, affordable, sweet little bows. They have so many awesome prints, great quality fabric and soft stretch bands so I don't get the dreaded "headband dent." They offer a FREE BOW of the week which always sucks Mommy in to buying MORE bows. They also have fun head wraps, but we haven't explored those...YET. I have to warn you that they do take awhile to ship. If you're in a hurry, these bows might not be your jam. They are totally worth the wait though! I'll be sporting this festive skull bow for Halloween! (Which shipped A LOT quicker, btw.)

Maddie & Bean
Maddie and Bean have some really unique hair accessories that I just love to pieces! I wore this sweet, gold leaf headband for my baptism and now I rock it whenever I want to feel like a Greek goddess. I'm also in love with this glitter baby bow headband. It's the perfect bow shape, and it's glitter. What's not to love?! They are totally affordable and shipped at lightning speed. Win win in my book.

Lilly Belle Market
Lilly Belle Market is home of the felt bow! They have so many cool color sets, like Fall, Autumn, Peacock, Circa 1989, etc. I'm loving this nude colored bow from the Fall Collection. It matches all of Mommy's nude pumps! The bigger the bow, the better, and this Pale Pink Lucy Sailor bow fits the bill! These felt bows are a BARGAIN and come in lots of different sizes. If they can fit my 90th percentile noggin, they will fit yours too!

Where Goes the Bows?
So you might ask, what's a girl to do with all these bows? Well, call me Abe Lincoln because I cannot tell a lie. Lots of times there are bows all over the house! In the diaper bag, suitcases, the back seat of the car, you name it. Mommy makes sure we have bows ready and available at all times. A couple weeks ago she made a sweet bow organization system and it's helped keep all our bows in line...literally!
A quick trip to IKEA with Auntie Shannon and we were in business! Mommy mounted the DIGNITET curtain wire to the wall (after spray painting the fixtures a pearly pink of course). Then she spray painted the RIKTIG clips gold to match the rest of my nursery decor. Bows up and ready to grab on the go! Mommy tries to keep them in color coordinating order, but let's be real...that's a lot of work!
